The Hunger of Time (Poetry)

Assorted Silver-colored Pocket Watch Lot Selective Focus Photo

Plated with a sea of colors

One second has passed

Well paired like fated lovers

Thirty seconds just flew by really fast

Ready to feast

One minute just hit

Observing the increase

Two minutes feels like a long bit

Knife and fork at the ready

Three minutes stood still

Desiring it at a pace that is steady

It is as if the next thirty seconds has no will

Time to taste the food

The five minutes has arrived

Perfectly cued

Thankful I survived
