Lady in the Dark (Poetry)

Image result for light quotes

Dressed in burial black

With hints of white daisies throughout

Shoulders slightly revealed

Timidly standing in an old pair of heels

Hair seamlessly curled

Glistening in the sun

Radiantly shining, reflecting angles

Like a budding golden sedum

Two small children playing hopscotch

Such an innocent deed

Leaping carefree in their fancy European dresses

Buzzing around like a hummingbird on a Marigold

Startled by the woman approaching

Misery written upon her face

Contemplating saying a simple hello

Swallowing loudly like a frog on a sweet lily pad

Hankering for a moment of joy

Eyes packed with pods of tears

As the woman draws near

Unexpectedly rewarded as the cherry tree blossoms
